Voices Unheard: The Neglected Plight of Women of Color is a poetic video essay which shines a light on the struggle and power of women of color and how social media has elevated their platform in regards to intersectional feminism. The video essay is stylistically poetic in nature rather than having a more documentary kind of feel. Voices Unheard was made to create a piece of work that would get a reaction and get the audience to start thinking. Inspiration for this project has come from personal experiences, information learned while in college, and a love for social media and its large, lasting impact.
